I am a Professor in the Mathematical Sciences Institute at ANU. My background is in representation theory, and these days I am mostly interested in interactions between representation theory and topology.

Coxeter groups are fairly well understood, but the Artin-Tits groups associated to them are somewhat less well understood. The goal of this talk will be to explain how homological algebra -- in particular, the moduli space of stability conditions -- can hopefully play an organising role in understanding many aspects of the theory of Artin-Tits groups. The running example will be type A, where the homological algebra can be suppressed and replaced with the topology of arcs in the punctured disc. So no familiarity with homological algebra or stability conditions will be assumed.
