I am a postdoc at Warwick working with John Greenlees. My background is primarily in group cohomology and triangulated categories but I often use abstract categorical and homotopical methods in my work

I will report on a new paper where my collaborators and I introduce the notion of singularity on an arbitrary triangulated category and show that this singularity category vanishes when the triangulated category we begin with has a bounded t structure. Our results vastly generalises some recent results of Amnon Neeman where he had proved a bold conjecture regarding the regularity of schemes and the existence of bounded t structures on the perfect complexes. Due to our treatment being sufficiently general, we also get some fascinating applications of our results to finite dimensional algebras. This is all joint with Hongxing Chen, Kabeer Manali Rahul, Chris Parker, and Junhua Zheng.
