Hiraku Kawanoue is Assistant Professor at the University of Kyoto. He is interested in Algebraic Geometry, Resolution of singularities and Hyperplane arrangements.

A hyperplane arrangement is a finite set of hyperplanes in a projective or affine space. I will explain the notion of freeness of a hyperplane arrangement and related properties.
After that, I will talk our recent result concerning the freeness of line arrangement, which classifies the freeness of arrangements of few (up to 12) lines in a projective plane.
